What is the potential?
On average, half of all compressed air produced is lost. Why is
"Compressed air systems are often considered to be inefficient to
begin with and losses are inevitable. Compressed air is mistakenly
considered to be cheap and therefore the losses are not relevant."
This is a common but inaccurate statement. This results in production
overcapacity, which is expensive and completely unnecessary! Because
the true cost of compressed air is not including the power cost,
this statement is simply not correct.
